Realitatea-Catavencu is the first major media group in Romania which activates in the fields of television, radio, digital signage, news agency and film distribution which decided to focus its web activities around a specialized company, dedicated to new media.
To serve this purpose, in January 2009, F5 was founded as the new media company of Realitatea-Catavencu Group, with a view to ensure the Group’s and its clients' development both in terms of web development and in relation to online publishing, web services and e-commerce.
F5 – which was set up as a result of the rollout in 2008 of the new media investment and consultancy programme F5 re:fresh ideas; is guided by two strategic directions: organic growth and development through partner companies, in which F5 owns interests.
Thus, F5 also controls the companies Xipe Interactive (founded together with Senior Interactive), Free Road (with Tree Works), Sellerator and Buyology (jointly with Kondiment Group) and Blue Ideea (together with entrepreneurs Marius Cristea and Costin Radu).
In 2009, F5 embarked upon this journey with over 130 dedicated people, among whom more than 80 digital journalists, 30 web development specialists (programming, design etc.), 10 marketing, PR and event specialists, as well as 12 specialists in sales and related services (within the sales unit F5 X-Media).
F5 is headed by Dragos Stanca – Managing Director and member of Realitatea-Catavencu Board, assisted by Cristina Cucuiu and Irina Morosanu – as Business Affairs Managers.
The advertising spaces for the products within the F5 portfolio are managed by the online sales, cross-media and unconventional project unit, F5 X-Media – under the leadership of Dragos Gurarosie.
